This short, hands-on workshop, held on the occasion of International Coffee Day, offers a behind-the-scenes look at coffee roasting and quality control at Sam Cafe, designed to create a closer connection with Sam Coffee Roasters’ Central Roastery.
In the one-hour session “A Story of Coffee at Sam Cafe”, participants will not only get to know the story of coffee at Sam and our philosophy in sourcing, roasting, and serving coffee, but also engage directly with core processes such as roasting, brewing, and cupping. This way, they can build a deeper connection with the concepts of quality and flavor.
The workshop begins with a short narrative about the coffee journey at Sam Cafe, followed by an introduction to origins, processing methods, and our roasting approach. The highlight of the session is observing the roasting process up close, participating in a group cupping, and tasting different coffees while paying attention to their unique characteristics. Throughout this process, key insights into roasting stages and sensory evaluation principles will be shared.
