Gol o Zāgh
(In Collaboration With Agabibi)
Sam Café and Agabibi, in a shared creative experience, have reimagined a special collection of three T-shirts titled Khat-Khati (Doodles), Aga Sam, and Gol o Zāgh (The Flower and the Crow).
The design process began in September 2024 and led to three final pieces that stand not only as mementos of a warm collaboration but also as an expression of a unique experience born from shared values.
This collaboration is an effort to connect two distinct worlds with a similar approach; One rooted in quality and creation. The identity of Sam Café lies in everyday lifestyle, authenticity, and being in constant flow, while Agabibi’s vision brims with playfulness, color, and creativity.
The artist drew inspiration from light, joy, and a sense of nostalgia; Elements that, much like coffee, evoke growth, abundance, and shared experiences. From reinterpreting Qajar-era Gol o Morgh (flower-and-bird) motifs and childhood sketchbooks to a fresh take on crows that, this time, have turned into colorful and charming companions; These shared inspirations sparked the creation of a piece that is more than just a wearable product. It is a reflection of nostalgia, joy, and togetherness; Much like a cup of coffee that turns simple moments into meaningful ones.
Gol o Zāgh is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Qajar-era Gol o Morgh (flower and bird) motifs; An homage to Iranian heritage and timeless beauty, seen through a contemporary lens. In this design, crows flutter among flowers, symbols of blessing and growth.
Among the nine original sketches, Gol o Zāgh was one of the three selected designs for the Sam Café × Agabibi collaboration.
Each T-shirt is made of double-sided cotton and silk-screen printed in one of Tehran’s oldest specialist workshops.
